On some days we wake up with nausea.
Days when the abject feeds on our own liberating words: queer, feminism, to justify Islamophobia and a genocide [1].
Take up arms? Harm ourselves?
Or anesthetize ourselves by scrolling [2], hoping for a movement that will disrupt the inevitable?
Yet, things are happening, off the radar.
Incest and other forms of violence against children are beginning to be publicly denounced.
The word “racialized” is being adopted by mainstream media and political parties in France.
Abortion rights have been enshrined in the constitution.
Access to medical gender-affirming techniques has been officially de-psychiatrized by the Haute Autorité de santé [3].
A bill has been tabled to ban non-consensual genital mutilations of intersex children and to allow gender marker changes on civil status documents without judicial approval [4].
There are so many reasons not to disappear [5], yet none is sufficient on its own.
Overcoming defeatism paradoxically requires accepting a form of humility regarding our worldview when it plunges us into sadness.
Witnessing joy in others has something liberating about it.
Shift the focus of care away from the self alone. Try to get better together.
A broad collective. With all human beings, with non-human animals, and with the Earth [6].
Thus, we invite you to join us for these third Community Care Days, without pressure to reach consensus or convergence—because while that is important, love, friendship, solidarity, and strong communities matter at least as much. We need each other. Everything beautiful we do, we do with others.
Our loves are our weapons.
The Days of Community Care are a changing space and moment, structured around the international Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) on November 20th. These are several days of workshops, conferences, and festive gatherings to come together around our diverse struggles—trans, queer, decolonial, anti-racist, anti-ableist, anti-childist—to learn from one another and collectively nurture the flame of hope in a darkening world. They will take place in Toulouse from November 18 to 22, 2026.
This third edition of the Community Care Days will also celebrate the tenth anniversary of the collective organizing them: Clar-T, a mutual aid and advocacy group for trans people. Ten years of love, conflict, and, as it should be, community care—we wish to honor this in a moment of sharing and convergence dear to our hearts.
Building a space for collective care requires significant resources, both human, material, and financial. Whether for accessibility, decision-making processes, emotional attention, work on privileges, or simply to avoid burnout and prevent care from becoming exhaustion.
We wish for the Days of Community Care to once again be a space where money is not a barrier to participation, where everyone can attend freely. At the same time, we believe it is necessary to fairly compensate and reimburse the speakers and workshop facilitators. That is why we have chosen to operate through grants and rely on your donations. This will only be possible with the support of all who are able.
We live in a deeply unequal society, traversed by structures of domination and social exploitation based on race, class, and gender. We wish for awareness of the oppressions and privileges that shape us to also guide each person’s financial or material contribution.
We also call on your generosity so that during the event, your personal resources—especially those acquired through any social privileges you may have—are contributed for the benefit of all participants, within your means: financial support, advocacy, active listening, understanding, kindness, reasoned management of disagreements and conflicts, material aid, translation—all are welcome and precious!
